Relax, I am God, and so are you.

Today I am here with nothing but the blank page. I have nothing planned, no particular subject in mind. This page is to be pure inspiration. I like to write my titles after i finish and proof read my work to get a feel for the overall theme. Sometimes I write the title first as a point of inspiration to jump off from. That is not this post. Here I am simply going to let Spirit speak through me, an exercise in automatic typing you might say. The theosophysts and spiritists of the past were quite fond of such exercises. Many works no considered classics of occultism, some even bordering on "gospel" were written in this way. It is funny to me how the modern world balks and anyone who claims to be a "prophet" or to have written the words of a spirit by way of divine inspiration or possession, yet 90% of the world follows and defends such works (in one form or another) with great zeal.

Genetically, intellectually, spiritually, we are the same creatures we were 10,000 years ago. Why is it that religions founded as recently as a couple hundred years ago should be considered valid while a simple message or amendment to an already widely known message should be dismissed out of hand? Perhaps in Leviticus God found homosexual men appalling but he sure has made a lot of them in recent years, and placed quite a few as figureheads in his churches. Perhaps it is time to update the message so that they can stop behaving shamefully with children and prostitutes and live their lives openly in the loving light of the Lord. does it not seem blatantly obvious that it is the element of shame and guilt over their feelings that drives these men to such heinous acts? The tendency of most humans, once they find themselves doing something "wrong" or being accused of it at any rate, is to continue off the deep end. "In for a penny, in for a pound" right? It isn't just homosexuality I am talking about here. It is everything. Every religious ideal, every gospel, ever word supposedly handed down by God or Spirit. What is the fascination with madmen from centuries past and the inverse appeal of madmen of the modern age? We call these people "mad" because it is considered insane to believe you are receiving the word of God but what is inspiration if not madness? name one renowned artist that was not "mad" in some way. Art stems from inspiration, inspiration stems from Spirit and when a higher form takes hold of a human being the result is madness. Therefor, religion is madness, art is madness and all things beautiful, moving and inspiring are religion. In short, if something you see, hear, read or experience stirs something deep and indescribable in you, THAT is God, THAT is magic, THAT is religion; the Divine Madness.

In ages long past priests and devotees of Dionysus and Aphrodite held ceremonies in the winter months to celebrate the (re)birth if the Divine child who represented the help, hope and prosperity of all humankind. Similar observances were held in the British Isles, Northern Europe and practically everywhere else in the world. People are especially thrown off by the character of Dionysus as the mainstream and low-level media in the form of books, movies, etc. paint him as a hedonistic "party god" or some obese wine-o without a care for his lessers. Like most of these ancient gods of sacrifice and resurrection he is a much more complex character and the whole point of the wild revelries such Gods are known for was to impart and celebrate that "divine madness" unto the faithful.

Most importantly, these ancient mystery religions recognized the validity of the divine madness and would occasionally accept new information from the faithful under its influence. Simply put, they worshiped a God who was a living, vital force capable of change and progression. Modern religions relegate the divine to dead words on pages fixed in time. You kill your god and sow decent in your followers because anyone with a new idea must be a heretic or a madman. This is the EXACT same mentality and world-view that created the dark ages. The ages when the world was flat and the sun revolved around us and only the Popes and Bishops could know the will of God and anyone who challenged their narrow scope of reality was ostracized, tortured and killed. Congratulations everyone, quite the "civilization" you have built for yourselves.

If you aren't proponents of the dead-god churches then you are likely opponents to an unnecessary extreme. Atheists and pagans who constantly complain about and cut down everything said or done by a christian or obsessively seek out holes and contradictions in the bible are no better. They are just another group fighting the same fight, overzealously defending a narrow world view and insisting that God is dead, never existed or doesn't care. One side proves it with their actions and attitudes, the other with words and deeds. The age of the antichrist is surely upon us because the prevailing idea is clearly the antithesis of "christ".

The word "christ" means "anointed" and implies the touch of the Spirit. Sounds suspiciously like the "divine madness" I have been talking about. This Jesus fellow was obviously a madman, and it clearly ran in the family. I mean, his mom swore she had never had sex and that an angel implanted the seed of a god in her womb. Any woman saying that today would be branded a psychotic lying whore. Do you really think that if this whole story actually happened that the people back then didn't say the same things? Out pops Jesus who is groomed all his life to be a human sacrifice and carry the burden of sin for all mankind. This earns him the respect of a handful of followers and they go around preaching the word of his "father" who is supposedly the grandest God to ever be. So grand that all other gods are suddenly obsolete, subordinate and, finally, simply "false idols" whose worship will get you nothing but a good mobbing. Jesus was a cult leader, just like his contemporary Mithras and, like it or not, David Koresh much later on. Clearly some cults are more dangerous than other, but then again, history is written by the victors and we honestly cannot begin to hypothesize as to what Jesus, the man, got up to behind closed doors or what scandals may or may not have taken place. Not being blasphemous, just realistic.

Now I am not going to don a big silly hat and scepter and claim to be the one and only mouthpiece of the One True God, but I am going to go out on a limb here and say that it is likely more than one person can be "anointed" and that God, infinite, omniscient being that he/she/it/we/they is/are (so hard to put a word to the indescribable isn't it) could probably anoint whoever the hell God pleases in any time, place or culture. Now, obviously some people would try to wield this idea as a weapon, empowering themselves with a lie that cannot be disputed or challenged. This would allow the person to have almost absolute power, and absolute power corrupts absolutely. This is precisely why God must be a living, vital force, capable of anointing and speaking through anyone at any time so that between divine mandate and common sense the corrupt can be vetoed and dethroned before things spiral out of control.

You see, there is an order to the chaos, a method to the divine madness, God(s) is/are nifty like that. I am thoroughly convinced that there is a very real Divine force at work in the universe. I am absolutely certain that there are agents of this force present everywhere at all times. I know that there is an unseen element to our world and that, through the right methods, we are capable of interacting with the unseen. Physics, chemistry and microbiology are definitive proof that this is true. Everything on this planet is made of the same stuff and, therefore, everything is connected. The only difference in a man and a tree is the sequence of the code which dictates how those basic elements fall into place. Who writes the code? Everything in the physical universe, on the atomic level, is made up of 99% EMPTY SPACE speaking in physical terms What resides in that "empty space" and holds the physical universe together? There are forces governing the universe we still don't understand. We have walked on the moon and landed vehicles on Mars but we still have never seen the extreme depths of our own oceans. Throughout human history, wherever there was mystery, there has been God. Some claim this is just the fantasy created by a limited mind to explain what cannot be explained. I think that God is, in part, the very presence of the inexplicable. god is not the excuse, it is the name for that allure, that wonder, that drive to explore and expand. The more we learn about the universe does not disprove the existence of God, it simply defines the mechanical components behind God's work. Having a name and a function for all of our organs and cells does not make the human any less an individual marvel uniquely gifted in its own ways. The Higg's boson does not disprove the existence of God, just reveals a key component in the magic trick of manifestation. Matter and energy are related and intertwined in this world. When matter breaks down, energy is released and transformed. That is afterlife. Energy is eternal. Thought and consciousness have a unique signature. I think therefore I am. Thought is energy, energy is eternal, I can never die. immortality is not perpetual physical existence, it is the acceptance that you are more than the physical. Awareness of the universe on the energetic level is the gateway to enlightenment. Connection to that energy is the vehicle of godhood.
