This table was meant to accompany my previous post entitled "all about cartomancy" but simply would not fit. technical difficulties are preventing it from appearing as intended. I am attempting to fix this. If nothing else, I will attempt to make the information readable at least. Here goes nothin'...

04-House- Indicates the home, domestic life and familial relations. In broader scope, it can indicate buildings or establishments such as an office complex or church depending on the other cards it appears in conjunction with. May refer to a father figure or provider.
K Hearts- Signifies an adult male of phlegmatic temperament, or very fair complexion. Indicates that the heart rules, or is ruled by something, power applied toward a positive result or a sensitive man, perhaps of some artistic inclination.
K cups- signifies an adult male, married or divorced, of medium complexion and/or hair color and lighter colored eyes, or who is a water sign (Cancer, Scorpio, Pisces) (U) May indicate man somehow involved with religion, spirituality, psychology, arts or sciences who will bring good tidings. Otherwise this card calls the attention to those pursuits. (R) a lying despot, emotional or psychic manipulator, corruption, perversion and gluttony.
Q hearts- signifies a fair young lady (U) an affectionate or sympathetic woman gives comfort (R) pain is caused to someone dear to you.
17-Stork- relates to changes and preparations for those changes. May indicate a birth, pregnancy or other happy news on its way. In relation to people, it is a caretaker or caregiver of some sort. In relation to things, it is a blessing from God or otherwise fated gift.
Q Hearts- signifies an adult female of phlegmatic temperament, or very fair complexion. Indicates wisdom or truth of the heart.
Q cups- Signifies an adult woman, married or divorced, of medium complexion and/or hair color and lighter colored eyes, or who is a water sign (Cancer, Scorpio, Pisces) (U) A generous and loving spouse or a woman of sensitive and intuitive nature who benefits the querent in some way. Indicates that good things are flowing your way and that dreams and psychic awareness could yield surprising results. Generally, a sign of grace and contentment. (R) a depraved or licentious woman. A woman of otherwise good reputation and character who has designs against you. May indicate blackmail or fraud.

J Hearts- (U) a faithful and just young man brings news or becomes a boon companion (R) a confidence artist or endearing enemy
24-Heart- Refers to matters of the heart in general. Love, whether platonic, romantic, or carnal, as well as affection and enjoyment of any kind such as for music or sports. Depending on the cards surrounding it the heart can be broken or mended. This card shows where the heart lies and its fate is described in the reading. As a person, this card points to a charismatic young man.
J Hearts- signifies a young or never married person of phlegmatic temperament, or very fair complexion. A child may be on the way, otherwise indicates happy news, messages or visitations.
P cups- signifies a child of either gender or a young lady of medium complexion and/or hair color and lighter colored eyes, or who is a water sign (Cancer, Scorpio, Pisces) (U) a student or precocious youth brings a happy message. Being brought into a select group or “circle of trust” through knowledge of a secret or spiritual mystery. Psychic gifts may be bubbling up from deep within, try and allow them to surface. (R) Being seduced by promises. Something that seems too good to be true turns out to be just that. A young man who appeals to the emotions or desires should not be trusted.
A Hearts- (U) a letter, invitation or other happy news (R) arguments or bad news
28-Man- signifies a male querent. When not representing the querent it is a man of some description based upon the cards surrounding him.
A Hearts signifies the home. May indicate a passion of an artistic nature, otherwise, it stands for happy things as yet unformed. Something good, especially love or friendship, which should be nurtured.
A cups (U) an influx of spiritual and emotional powers. Commitment to faith, a person or an ideal. Surrender to a higher power. Great fulfillment and inner joy which flows out and infects all around you. General abundance and blessings. (R) False faith, over-emphasis on the material and mundane, forsaken love. May indicate the end of a relationship, spiritual bankruptcy, or the loss of inspiration and creative potential.


2 Hearts- an accord or exchange brings happy results for all involved. May also indicate a love affair or trist.
2 cups (U) A sanctified union, accord or exchange. Religious ceremony, fellowship or marriage. Collaborative efforts in service of a higher power or cause. (R) Deception, lack of commitment or false vows. Perversion of sanctity, corrupt union. A purely physical relationship masquerading as an emotional or spiritual one. Broken promises or ulterior motives.


3 Hearts- may indicate pregnancy, otherwise, it represents the growth of a relationship or other happy thing and some small gains yielded from labors of love.
3 cups (U) New friends, a happy conclusion, celebration of a new addition to one's life. Can indicate pregnancy or birth, but may just as easily be a new house or anything else that brings joy and fulfillment. General happiness and gain being yielded and shared. (R) Debauchery, excess, indulgence, hedonism. Exclusion, alienation, estrangement or being ousted from a group. False friends, impotent rituals, delusion about, or dissolution of something dear to you.


4 Hearts- a stable relationship. May also be a warning that love has grown stagnant. If the person is single and searching this is less auspicious as it indicates no change.
4 cups (U) Discontent, dissatisfaction, introversion and “growing out of” something once very dear to you. May indicate that it is time to move forward and let go of past relationships or habits, even the most positive and pleasurable ones. In general, this is a card of inner turmoil. (R) New phase in life, “turning over a new leaf” and finding joy in novel and unfamiliar things. May serve as a reminder not to look back, foreboding of relapse or return to stagnation.


5 Hearts- Mainly an indicator of good health and physical fitness. If auspices point to illness, however, it indicates the blood and circulatory systems.
5 cups (U) May indicate a marriage or other union that has lost its luster. The same may result in cheating and philandering Sentimentality and idealism lead to regret. A relationship or pattern that is now more difficult to escape. Dashed hopes and shattered dreams. Generally a sign of discontent and unhappy bondage. (R) If a relationship turned to cheating, this is a sign that encourages reunion and TRUE forgiveness of transgressions. Represents turning away from temptation and a profound respect and appreciation for that which is sanctified and pure. Renewal of faith, what once was good becomes better than ever imagined.

16-Stars- relates to destiny, navigation, and esoteric/metaphysical influences. This card can indicate the finding of one's way, whether in a practical or spiritual sense. It may also indicate astrology, visions, dreams, and spirit guides. Generally it represents hope and transcendence while encouraging an open minded approach.
6 Hearts- a joyful and easy path.
6 cups (U) coming full circle. Realization of legacy. Affectionate memories and nostalgia. (R) The here and now. Something new and unfamiliar Becoming, for better or worse, like a child again.
7 Hearts- (U) your true love or desire (R) a false friend or lover
05-Tree- relates to matters of health, life, and things which require patience, care and attention.
7 Hearts- trouble in love or other relationships, perhaps a temptation or spat.
7 cups (U) Manna from heaven or an epiphany of profound and earth-shattering nature. The flow of blessings comes easily with the realization that all is illusory and ephemeral. May indicate a period of reflection or the liberation from material desires. (R) desire, insatiability, delusion, obsession, multiplicity. Refusal to give oneself over to higher goals and the continuation of self-service.
8 Hearts- (U) a pleasant surprise or visitation (R) annoyance or vexation
32-Moon- relates to influence, recognition, and that which holds sway. When referring to people it indicates celebrity or notoriety. In relation to things, it shows a hidden or subconscious influence. Generally speaking, think of the moon as “gravitation” in the way that the moon rules the tides.
8 Hearts- signifies pets. Indicates help and support of a community or group. Can also be a sign that ideas and dreams may bear fruit if action is taken at this time.
8 cups (U) Walking away from an old life and habits. Relinquishing pleasures for a more austere life as a matter of choice. Maturation beyond what one has known and loved. May indicate a move, change of lifestyle, or commitment to a new spiritual path. (R) Debauch, indulgence, a “last blast” or otherwise choosing pleasure over progress and evolution. A sense that change is “too hard” or “not really worth it” may be experienced. This card may also represent deep depression and suicidal tendencies or other psychological, emotional or spiritual crisis.
9 Hearts- (U) a happy result (R) worries which may be founded
01-The Rider- relates to news, a package, or a paramore. Generally, this is a card of progress, messages and destiny realized.
9 Hearts- Signifies “the wish” (it is customary to ask the client to “make a wish” and, if this card appears, it indicates that the wish will come true within the span of time covered by the reading). Indicates that something that has been worked for or built upon is changing and expanding. In a broader sense, it represents great rewards or a large amount of something good.
9 cups (U) Accumulation, self-satisfaction, confidence in personal power. There is a risk here of inflated ego or abuse of power. Consider the “hedonism treadmill” once you have had it all, “enough” is no longer satisfying. R) Self-loathing, despair, cynicism, loss of joy and self-worth. May indicate alcoholism or “living in the past” unable to move on. Over-attachment to what was prevents the influx of joy in what will be.
10 Hearts- (U) great fortune in something long awaited or built toward (R) foundations are shaky or crumbling
18-Dog- relates to loyalty, help, persistence and companionship. In negative context it could refer to someone “on your tail” or something “dogging you down” but, generally, it points to positive things and guides you toward a beneficial outcome.
10 Hearts- indicates the happy completion or ultimate result of something. Could also represent a family gathering.
10 cups (U) Solace, haven, perfected relationships of any sort, whether a lifelong friendship or establishment of the nuclear family. Resolution of turmoils, internal and external. Happiness in letting go, with fond memories which bring no pain. R) Pain and suffering become the keys of transcendence. Spiritual evolution through great struggle. Problems in the family. Inability to cope. Severe violence and psychotic episodes may be possible. Feeling a complete lack of security.
K Diamonds- signifies an older fair featured man or a man in uniform. (U) a wealthy or powerful benefactor (R) trouble or disagreement with a person of means.
34-Fish- There is an old story about a fish that grants wishes and I believe this card refers to such a tale. Relating to money and wealth, it also warns of overindulgence and lavishness. It is hard to explain this to the modern culture of excess but, as in the magpie verse where “five is for silver, six is for gold” it is the previous which is more desirable as gold connotes not only great wealth but greed and corruption. The fish can be a highly beneficial card in many contexts, but discretion and moderation should also be advised. If representing a person, this card points to someone like a boss or banker.
K Diamonds- signifies an adult male of sanguine temperament, or ruddy complexion. May indicate business acumen and is otherwise auspicious for financial endeavors.
K disks- Signifies an adult male, married or divorced, of dark complexion, hair and eye color, or one who is an earth sign (Taurus, Virgo, Capricorn) (U) use of skills and resources in a positive way. May indicate an engineer, businessman or person of some authority regarding industry or commerce. (R) squandered talents, greed, irresponsible use of funds, a gambler or a miser.
Q Diamonds- signifies a fair, older woman (U) an heiress or well connected person provides. (R) the same plots against you.
22-Paths- a crossroads, choice or option. In relation to people it can indicate non-conformity or an alternative lifestyle of some sort. Generally, it relates to decisions, or a state of indecisiveness. As a person, this card represents a bisexual woman, a rival female or a lady about town.
Q Diamonds- signifies an adult female of sanguine temperament, or ruddy complexion. May indicate wise investments or honest deals.
Q disks- Signifies and adult woman, married or divorced, of dark complexion, hair and eye color, or one who is an earth sign (Taurus, Virgo, Capricorn) (U) frugal prosperity, domestic contentment, material stability and sensual devotion. May indicate a maternal figure or a homebody. There is also a chance this card points to dreams, intuition or other psychic talents, known or unknown. (R) materialism, suspicion and backstabbing. Hidden actions, frigidness, distrust or domestic tension.



Kn disks- Signifies a young man or bachelor of dark complexion, hair and eye color, or one who is an earth sign (Taurus, Virgo, Capricorn) (U) plans carried forward, skills put into action, a good return on an investment or services rendered. May indicate a laborer or person otherwise involved in commerce or industry of moderate to low rank but who holds a senior or stable position. (R) clinging to old ideas or methods hindering progress. Abuse of connections or entitlement. A lout or layabout.
J Diamonds- (U) an official person, or someone in uniform brings good news (R) a frivolous and impetuous person brings trouble
10-Scythe- relates to reaping, gathering, and the ending of cycles. There is a finality which accompanies the scythe and it may indicate risky decisions rushed into, but may just as easily represent a need to cut ties immediately, depending on the situation and the cards surrounding it. With regard to people the scythe can represent a farm hand, a dangerous young man or someone associated with the business of death such as a coroner or undertaker.
J Diamonds- signifies a young or never married person of sanguine temperament, or ruddy complexion. May indicate a tip about a financial opportunity or good news involving wealth and property.
P disks- Signifies a child of either gender, or a young lady, of dark complexion, hair and eye color, or one who is an earth sign (Taurus, Virgo, Capricorn) (U) burgeoning skill, a good investment of time, energy, or money. May indicate a prodigy, promising apprentice, student or inventor. Generally auspicious for financial concerns. (R) bad news or the ignorance thereof. Unwillingness to accept failure or change damaging habits. Irreverence and disrespect toward authority and tradition. In some contexts, may indicate that ideas and efforts are being wasted on the wrong group or community.
A Diamonds- (U) An important or official document of favorable sort. (R) be wary of contracts
31-Sun- relates light, warmth, good fortune, vigor and vital essence. It brings relief from burdens and diminishes sorrows. It may denote confidence, healing or prosperity depending on context. In general, it is energy being added to something in a positive way.
A diamonds- May indicate the beginning of a fruitful financial period, otherwise auspicious for making plans and taking risks where prosperity is involved.
A disks (U) Opportunity knocks, a handout is given with “no strings attached” or a stroke of luck is had in the realm of one's work or craft. General productivity. On a more esoteric level it is the ability to truly live in the “here and now.” (R) Wealth or success which corrupts. A scam or false opportunity which results in a loss. Materialism, lack of respect, no concept of the value of money or hard work.


2 Diamonds- Indicates all things to do with deals and contracts.
2 disks (U) Learning to juggle supply and demand. Making order of chaos. Getting into the flow. Finding one's rhythm. May indicate a rocky start, but comes with a reminder to have fun with it and not become too embroiled in it just yet. Could also indicate a letter or missive of some sort, possibly official or from afar. (R) Imbalance, floundering, lack of profit or productivity. Stress, over-seriousness, lack of direction. Losing one's bearings. A lean, injunction or other damning document.


3 Diamonds- May indicate a small financial gain or the growth of some investment in a minor way.
3 disks (U) Recognition, constructive criticism, minor acclaim which could yield richer fruits in the long term. Finding one's calling. Innovation. Investment in oneself pays off. (R) Mockery, insincere labor, half-cocked theories, laziness, not giving it your all. An opportunity is squandered, investment wasted or credibility lost.


4 Diamonds- May indicate financial stability or miserly behavior. Also, an estate or, in some contexts, an inheritance.
4 disks (U) Material wealth, but social and/or spiritual destitution. Hoarding or stinginess. Irrational fear of impoverishment. Established or inherited wealth with a warning of potential corruption. (R) If concerning the possessor, indicates extravagance, irresponsibility and loss where money is concerned. If concerning the dispossessed, indicates stalemate, inaction, or unreachable resources.


5 Diamonds- Regarding health, this card indicates the nervous system.
5 disks (U) Failure, a rough patch or slow fiscal period. A speed bump on the road to success. May indicate that one has ignored their true calling in favor of a “sure thing” that turned out to be a bust. Though it may seem a complete loss or that this time of suffering and poverty will never end, this card actually indicates a time of self-discovery through the experience of loss. Advise looking for signs and not being afraid to take a risk on yourself. Nothing left to lose. (R) Resigning to misery, giving up on yourself, wasted talent. Hopelessness, injury, disability, broken dreams, taking security over your true calling.

02-Clover- indicates a bit of luck or some small gain. The phrase “easy come, easy go” fits well.
6 Diamonds- the path to success.
6 disks (U) A gift or boon, a karmic reward, help is given to restore one's dream. Commitment pays off, gifts are shared. May point to a benefactor or call the querent to acts of philanthropy. In general, equity. (R) Inequity, gifts given to the undeserving, needs overlooked, envy, jealousy, resentment, lack of humility, hubris. Pride gets the better of one.
7 Diamonds- (U) an unexpected gift. (R) an argument or dispute, especially about money or property.
12-Birds- relates to gossip, flightiness, and nervous anticipation. Depending on the context, this card could indicate a need to slow down and focus, or a need to get involved and start weaving your own luck.
7 Diamonds- signifies astrological phenomena. In normal reading this card represents money troubles, bad investments or slowed or halted returns.
7 disks (U) In general, hard work and commitment. There may be a temptation to use or reserve more resources than is wise. Feeling of remorse over great efforts which produce relatively little reward. Reminder to take pride in one's work and be thankful for even small blessings and results. (R) In general, poor timing or rushed efforts. May indicate being taken, swindled or slaving under the yoke of an unfair master. Anxiety about results lead to undue losses or augmented gains which fall out of one's favor. May indicate a loan which eats into profits one way or the other. If such a loan is given, there is a delay in repayment. If taken out, causes loss in the long term.
8 Diamonds- (U) a journey or gathering looks favorable (R) avoid travel or groups.
33-Key- serves much the same function as it does in language as in “the key to something” or “key points” thus relating to anything pivotal or of great import and pertinence. Generally speaking “key” serves as an “absolute” or as “opening” or “closing” depending on context.
8 Diamonds- signifies productive livestock like laying hens or milk animals. May indicate an important meeting or brain-trust where collaborative efforts bring increase in wealth or power.
8 disks (U) Preparation, focus, increase in skill and/or productivity. Sustainability, security, commitment to goals. May indicate an apprentice or journeyman artisan or a crafts fair. In general, modesty and concentrated development. (R) Ambition, either in excess or deficit. Futile efforts or insincere pursuits. Disingenuous or over proud of one's vocation. Failure to perform due diligence leads to wasting of talents and loss of skill.
9 Diamonds- (U) business deals, new ventures and changes in career look promising. (R) the same should be postponed or avoided.
08-Coffin- relates to decline, death, endings and inevitability. As with the “death” trump in tarot, it is seldom physical death but rather indicates the finality of a thing and the need to move on and gracefully accept change, especially when it is something you are resisting.
9 Diamonds- indicates a great change in financial situation, a sudden increase in demand or an award of some nature.
9 disks (U) Sagacity, perpetuation, establishment of estate and legacy. Mastery of the self and skill. One caveat accompanies this card which is that comfort could lead to complacency. A legacy is pointless with no one to pass it down to. (R) Rigidity or calcification of skills and talents. Fascination with the new comes too early. Divided attentions may lead to failure of what is currently established. Leeching off of prosperity or the taking of what another has worked for (context indicates whether the querent is the victim or the perpetrator).
10 Diamonds- (U) a boon trickles down from a long lost or forgotten source. Also favorable for travel. (R) something that catches up with you. Consider long-term ramification of investments and travel.
26-Book- relates to wisdom, revelation and higher knowledge. This is a card of both intellectual and spiritual pursuits and may indicate that the key to the situation may be hidden. It also may indicate the subconscious and cultural memory, calling the attention to meditation, reflection and adherence to tradition.
10 Diamonds- May indicate things like expansion of business, change of job, or offshore accounts.
10 disks (U) May indicate estate, family home or ancestry. In general, secured prosperity and passing on of legacy. Marriage, children, grandchildren, retirement or pension. Time to enjoy the simpler things in life. (R) Loss of inheritance or estate. A stain on the family name. Quarrels with elders. Disowned, disavowed or estranged family members. Threat from distant relations. Corruption.
K Clubs- signifies a younger dark featured man (U) a man of action gives aid. (R) an action taken against you.
6-Clouds- relates obfuscation, confusion and misdirection. Depending on the other cards, this could mean crossed conditions or that things are clearing up. May signify a man who is divorced, feels isolated, or is slow to trust.
K Clubs- signifies an adult male of choleric temperament or swarthy complexion. May indicate great physical stature or ability in terms of raw strength or skill at a craft. Could also refer to an overbearing boss or demanding job.
K wands- Signifies an adult male, married or divorced, of light to olive complexion, brown to red hair and green or hazel eyes, or one who is a fire sign (Aries, Leo, Sagittarius) (U) An honest and fair man, likely from a rural area, brings good tidings. Honesty, trustworthiness, fulfillment of designs or securing of legacy. Highly auspicious where business is concerned. (R) Social phobia or lack of social acumen through isolation or spending too much time away from society. A man who may be described as “hard, but fair” passes judgment against you or refuses help.
Q Clubs- signifies a younger, dark lady (U) a charming woman gets things done for you. R) Watch out for a crafty woman who may cause you loss or trouble.
7-Snake- relates to treachery, deception, manipulation and fated consequence. The snake appears either as a punishment or a test. As a person the snake can represent a spiteful ex or an intensely driven woman, perhaps displaying a sharp tongue and scathing wit.
Q Clubs- signifies an adult female of choleric temperament, or swarthy complexion. May indicate that practical matters and home life are being called to attention.
Q wands- Signifies and adult female, married or divorced, of light to olive complexion, red or brown hair and green or hazel eyes, or one who is a fire sign (Aries, Leo, Sagittarius) (U) A savvy and helpful woman who knows how to get what she wants and put resources to the best possible use. A master of destiny. Influence and positive action. Highly auspicious in matters of sexual nature. (R) A difficult woman who is emotionally volatile or does not know what she wants. An unfaithful woman. Represents opposition where business and expansion are concerned.



Kn wands- signifies a young man or bachelor of light to olive complexion, red or light brown hair and green or hazel eyes, or one who is a fire sign (Aries, Leo, Sagittarius) (U) A man of action who does service to the querent. The strength to face and dominate challenges. A difficult situation works out in your favor when faced with bravery. (R) Tilting at windmills. Sudden and unpleasant interruption. Someone “steals your thunder” or otherwise robs you of something. General discord and mayhem, but short lived.
J Clubs- (U) someone seemingly inexperienced or ill-equipped will surprise you. (R) someone who is all talk.
11-Rod/Whip- The old saying, none to popular these days, is “spare the rod, spoil the child” and that is what this card refers to. It relates to challenges which are necessary for growth and hurts that spur along change and progress. It indicates difficulty, trouble, or even pure exertion/exhaustion, but the kind which ultimately force us to do what we previously would not have accepted. With regards to people, this card is the male equivalent to the snake above.
J Clubs- signifies a young or never married person of choleric temperament, or swarthy complexion. May indicate an unplanned pregnancy or change in position at work otherwise it is a message of some bearing on one's practical concerns, home life and physical work.
P wands- Signifies a child of either gender, or a young lady, fair to olive complected with light brown or red hair and green or hazel eyes. Alternatively, one who is a fire sign (Aries, Leo, Sagittarius) (U) Generally good news, advice or messages. May indicate a powerful legal defense or someone speaking up for you in business. An intelligent, sharp young person serves as an ally in a challenge. (R) Bad news, indecision, failure to act quickly, gossip, slander and sabotage.
A Clubs- (U) Fortuitous risks and ventures. (R) you must take a hit in order to achieve in the long term.
25-Ring- relates to oaths, agreements and bonds. In a broader sense, it can refer to something that is cyclical or repetitive, or anything which is not easily escaped from. Mostly it is a sign of fidelity and indicates good things, provided the individual in question holds up their end of the deal, whatever that may be.
A Clubs- starting a new job or some new task which demands your physical attention.
A wands (U) Start of a new venture, enterprise or even family. Virility, potency and positive male power. Applied and directed will or force. Invention, innovation, transformative action. (R) Impotence, false start, half-cocked ideas or actions. Clouded joy, lack of enthusiasm. Right place-wrong time, right moves-wrong lines.


2 Clubs- joint efforts in a task.
2 wands (U) A choice between what lies before you and the endless possibilities of the unknown. Planning, strategy, curiosity, wanderlust. (R) In matters of love an almost sure sign of cheating or at least consideration of an affair. In general, disappointment, disenchantment, empty victories, restlessness, lack of appreciation for what is established. Highly inauspicious for new ventures.


3 Clubs- May indicate labors beginning to yield fruit if in positive auspice, otherwise it is an increase in physical or practical demand.
3 wands (U) Solid foundations in a state of expansion. May represent the growth of one's own enterprise or a partnership with someone who has already achieved some success. Trade, exchange, commerce, looking to distant shores, “eyes on the prize” (R) Backbiting, usurpation, hostile takeover, domination by another. Abandonment of goals, ulterior motives come to light, infighting and dissolution.


4 Clubs- signifies places or building outside the home where the other cards show the nature of the place or structure. Outside of this context it indicates steady work and no change in position or demands.
4 wands (U) Celebrated success, bonhomie, satisfaction, well lain plans. There is a sense of “calm before the storm” as with a feast which precedes a battle or lavishing of gifts upon a sacrificial victim. (R) The meaning remains the same, but with greater emphasis upon the later. Uneasy joy.


5 Clubs- calls to attention the health of the skin and muscles.
5 wands (U) Rivalry, competition, contest. Can be stimulating or can wear one down. It is a challenge within the suit of challenges and so demands great energy and boldness. Strength, courage and shows of force are rewarded. (R) Meekness, inability to make the cut, timidity or lack of will results in defeat. Dissension, lack of focus, or discordant aims cause the failure of partnerships.

36-Cross- as in “the cross we bear” this is a card of fated burdens and divinely mandated suffering. It may be said that true faith is found and tested in the darkest hour. In relation to people this card may indicate a priest or holy person of any faith or someone otherwise deeply involved in religion. Likewise, it can represent a scapegoat or someone who bears the burdens of others. In relation to places it is a temple, church or holy site. In a more esoteric sense the cross is our personal “crossroads” where we meet our gods or our demons as the case may be. Generally, it is something unpleasant which cannot be avoided which either defines us or destroys us.
6 Clubs- a demanding path requiring diligence and perseverance.
6 wands (U) As Waite said “it is expectation crowned with its own desire” hope, success, accolade, etc. May also indicate a message or commendation from high up. (R) Fear, intimidation, loss of resolve. A powerful adversary may appear or a traitor may be in one's midst. Otherwise it is a charade or false show of power. “Expende Hannibalem” the power of man is ephemeral and transitory.
7 Clubs- (U) a minor gift or small gain come to you or from someone who received a sudden windfall. (R) an unwanted or unexpected burden affects you or someone you know
23-Mice- In general, decrease. Depending on other cards and context it could indicate a thief or the leeching/bleeding out of resources. It is something which diminishes bit by bit. It can mean an infestation or plague of negative thoughts as much as one of termites or rodents. Whatever it is, it is the kind of thing that can go unnoticed until it is too late and out of control.
7 Clubs- a fated struggle, an uphill battle, something in your way which requires tedious attention or tenacious approach.
7 wands (U) Having the upper hand. Strength through adversity. Challenges handled masterfully. Enemies or other forms of opposition are present but of little consequence. In other words, “don't sweat the small stuff.” Indicates tenacity, competence, and the possibility of striking out on one's own. (R) Embarrassment, loss of face, inaction or indecision prove fatal. Fear results in hesitation when it should be used to one's advantage.
8 Clubs- (U) A dark haired young man or child bears an omen. (R) a dark haired young woman bears an omen.
21-Mountain- relates to boundaries, obstructions and burdens. It is a thing which does not move or give that can only be overcome by perseverance. In relation to places, it is landlocked or local whereas anchor or ships would indicate by sea or foreign. In broader sense it may refer to meditation or isolation but, mostly, it indicates an impasse.
8 Clubs- signifies working animals like mules, horses and hunting dogs. May indicate questions, concerns or guilt regarding work or home life bearing on one's mind.
8 wands (U) The position of diligence in the house of action lends itself to relentlessness, pursuit and persistence. Can indicate “the arrows of love” in some circumstances. In general, movement and irresistible force. (R) in general, dispute, exhaustion, regret or remorse. May indicate “the arrows of jealousy” or, alternatively, self-criticism and internal strife. Could indicate domestic problems in some contexts.
9 Clubs- (U) a union brings wealth or convenience, but little joy. (R) impermanent gains. Allow something to go or do not get overly attached.
14-Fox- relates to cunning, double-crossing, theft and ingenuity. Mostly deals with something that causes harm, but goes unnoticed. However, sometimes it may refer to doing what is necessary to survive and acquiescence to a bit of moral ambiguity.
9 Clubs- indicates a massive demand of practical nature at work, home, or both. Also indicates transformation and change through major efforts.
9 wands (U) A test of mettle, a period of rest between battles, defense of one's position or enterprise, established dominance is hard won. In a sense, security, though awareness and alertness is called for ie in an active rather than passive sense. (R) Calamity, failed defenses or success at a cost. Possible physical injury, disability, or mental and emotional scars. A battle which leaves its mark is may never be fully recovered from. Being harried or harassed without cessation.
10 Clubs- (U) Passions, whether of vocational or carnal nature, can be realized with quick action. (R) rash actions result in regret.
15-Bear- an irrepressible force. May refer to a person of great stature or demeanor. Depending on the context/cards it appears with, the bear may represent anything from gluttony to overbearing to the exercise of personal power to overcome and succeed.
10 Clubs- The completion or culmination of something tirelessly labor toward. May also indicate a business trip but is otherwise inauspicious for travel on its own.
10 wands (U) The burdens of leadership. Bearing the cross of success. Stress, in general, as well as power and the responsibilities which accompany it. Reputation is acquired and an imposing figure is cut, but becomes tiresome and the intimidation becomes tedious as one looks now toward more fulfilling goals. (R) Simply put, a state of being “in over one's head” wherein any measure of success or power seem utterly fruitless and without worth. There is a great possibility of anger problems or legal ramifications of some sort. In short, being crushed under the weight of ones title and/or accomplishment.
K Spades- signifies an older dark featured man, also a lawyer or judge. (U) Deception by a man who is near and dear to you. (R) a secret is being kept from you for your own protection.
30-Lily- Relates to virtue, piety and the peace which comes with age and experience. Generally, indicates “purity of thought” and dedication to higher goals. In relation to people it may refer to an elder, holy person, retired or long married man.
K Spades- signifies and adult male of melancholic temperament, or dark complexion. May indicate a male magical worker. In general this card speaks of some form of judgment or punishment.
K swords- Signifies an adult male, married or divorced, of light complexion, fair, gray or white hair and blue or gray eyes. Alternatively, one who is an air sign (Gemini, Libra, Aquarius) (U) Just judgment, favorable or not. Strategy put into action. Mental acuity. An official person of some sort or one who is otherwise connected with judiciary or military duties. A staunch and resolute individual or outcome. R) cruelty, evil intent, corruption, especially of an official sort. Persecution, condemnation and guilt. A svengali.
Q Spades- signifies a dark, older woman. (U) an alluring woman conceals wicked intentions. (R) a woman with a bad reputation may surprise you, but caution is still recommended.
9-Bouquet- relates to happy surprises, multiplicity and anything to do with beauty, art and infatuation. Depending on other cards it may indicate an invitation, a secret admirer, or a simple joy found in life and the pursuit of one's passions. As a person the bouquet may represent a long-term wife or a spinster depending on the context, otherwise is it a lady of impeccable taste and helpful nature.
Q Spades- signifies an adult female of melancholic temperament, or dark complexion. May indicate a female magical worker. Typically it is a warning regarding gossip, lies or rumors which are at least partially founded, poor decisions and lapses in judgment.
Q swords- Signifies an adult woman, married or divorced, of light complexion, fair, white or gray hair and blue or gray eyes. Alternatively, one who is an air sign (Gemini, Libra, Aquarius) (U) May represent a widow, sterile or bereaved woman. Strength through hardship, purification through suffering, transformative self-sacrifice. Severance from the ego. R) A spiteful, prudish, or conniving woman. Bigotry, false relationships, “going through the motions” and ignorance in general, especially of damaging things happening right in front of you.



Kn swords- Signifies a young man or bachelor of light complexion, fair hair and blue or gray eyes. Alternatively, one who is an air sign (Gemini, Libra, Aquarius) (U) May indicate a death or injury if other fatal cards, such as the Tower, ten of swords or nine of wands are in proximity. Otherwise, it is a sober, intelligent man of pure heart who rides to your aid. In general, it represents bravery, confidence and impressively efficient action, especially against opposition or adversity. R) The old saying “fools rush in” comes to mind. Arrogance, impudence, audacity, self-sabotage. May indicate a losing battle, weak defense or an extravagant but inept individual. Someone who's bark is worse than their bite.
J Spades- (U) Envy, in general. There may be a young man who is a real charmer. but causes more problems than he is worth. (R) deception, perhaps by a by a young man, is concealed but may be discovered if you look for it.
13-Child- Sometimes used to signify the child of the querent. Generally relates to children, pregnancy, naivete, vulnerability and lack of experience. Could also indicate a “return to innocence” depending on context. If no actual children are involved but the child clearly indicates a person it represents “new blood” or someone who is your junior in terms of experience.
J Spades- signifies a young or never married person of melancholic temperament, or dark complexion. May indicate an apprentice or novice magical worker. Generally this card speaks of ill news or unwarranted slander.
P swords- Signifies a child of either gender, or a young lady, of very light complexion with fair hair and blue or gray eyes. Alternatively, one who is an air sign (Gemini, Libra, Aquarius) (U) Foresight, planning, reconnaissance. Getting the “lay of the land” to come out on top. Keep a sharp eye on the horizon. Could also indicate that someone is spying on you. R) Stalking, plots, lack of preparation or missing some vital piece of information. Could indicate sickness in proximity of certain cards like 9 of swords, 5 of pentacles or the Moon, this last may indicate it is illness of an unnatural sort. In general the Page of Swords reversed represents false strength and unfounded confidence.
A Spades- (U) legal, financial or material troubles (R) unrequited love.
29-Woman- signifies a female querent. When not serving as the querent this card represents a woman of some description based upon the cards which surround her.
A Spades- indicates “death” in one sense or another. Where other aces represent beginnings this represents the ultimate end of something.
A swords (U) Obdurate justice or force. Perfect and uncompromising commitment to principle. Divine decree. Ordination. Extremely high demands in terms of conduct. Great power may be granted but the possessor must walk a razor thin line to keep it. (R) Allowing emotion to rule. Fits of unbridled rage are possible. Division of mind and will. Clouded or disastrous judgment. Denial, disapproval or falling out of favor with a higher power.


2 Spades- a raw deal, someone taking advantage of another or joint efforts turned against you.
2 swords (U) Forces in balance. A choice may be offered wherein neither option is desirable or favorable. Suspended emotions or even a dissociative state. A stalemate between the head and the heart. May indicate a legal battle. (R) Justice is not served. Double-cross. Corruption in an official position. Heart and mind at war. Possibility of psychosis or other psychological or emotional problems. Rash action, misguided judgment, or indecision.


3 Spades- the increase in suffering or hardship where there already was some. Progression toward an unpleasant result.
3 swords (U) May indicate loss of love or a loved one. Generally, however, it is the death of emotion which yields to logic and reason. Alternatively it is unyielding logic and reason itself which leads to emotional suffering. Though it is harsh, it is necessary. A period of intense sadness and despair leads to a firm resolve. R) Getting lost in a maelstrom of emotion. Grief-stricken or irrational state. Desperation. Forces turned against you, whether from without or within. A divinely mandated test is failed and will continue until a lesson is learned.


4 Spades- a state of stagnation and troubles which cannot be avoided or broken free of.
4 swords (U) Repose. Emotional suspension. May suggest a period of intensive meditation or even admission to inpatient therapy such as rehab or behavioral health clinic. Chaos without, peace within. Acquiescence to logic and contemplation. Impervious to attack, likely due to having already endured much. The kind of strength found only on the other side of the breaking point. (R) May indicate a forced exile of some sort or institutionalization, Throwing oneself upon the sword. Inability to cope, “it's all just too much” one might say. Not knowing what to do and feeling powerless, wishing it would all just go away.


5 Spades- signifies the skeletal system specifically but, in general, poor health and illness.
5 swords (U) Severing ties and burning bridges. Ousting of enemies or inner demons. A hard decision is made with finality and without remorse. Reclamation of power and authority. (R) Much the same, but more likely on the receiving end. Routed by one's own attachments. Another reclaims their power from you.

19-Tower- relates to impartiality, rigidity and government. Could indicate something coming down from “higher up' in a more mundane sense such as from a boss or official. In relation to people it can be aloof or unfeeling. In a more positive context it can indicate ambition and rise to power, but still warns of cold-heartedness, isolation and blindness in said ambition. In other words, success at a price.
6 Spades- a path of great woe.
6 swords (U) The position of integration within the suit of disintegration yields acceptance and the joint grief and relief which follows. May indicate a journey, but not likely one of pleasure. The assimilation of new knowledge and progression toward the inevitable so armed. In general, changes. (R) Troubles follow. Emotional and psychological baggage. Inability to release or refusal to move forward. Could indicate a haunting or unresolved issues with regards to a spirit or spirits as with a karmic dept or angered ancestors. General inauspicious for new beginnings.
7 Spades- (U) failure, inaction or excessive deliberation. R) good advice is given, but is troubling or otherwise undesirable. It would be best to take it.
27-Letter- relates to any information in written form. Contrast with “rider” who speaks the message. Depending on placement it may be a message sent or received, uplifting or damning. The sequence “letter-rod-heart” may indicate a passion for writing while “letter-ring-scythe” may mean divorce papers.
7 Spades- Indicates a dramatically painful upset in plans or something catching up with you in a bad way.
7 swords (U) A plan is put into action, whether to ones benefit or detriment. Use of knowledge and foresight. May indicate a challenge to resolve or a setback which can be turned to ones advantage if handled with prudence. In general, stratagem. (R) Slander, sabotage, possible theft. Oversight, neglect, an obvious flaw is exploited. In general, imprudence. Advise playing things closer to the breast. Reasonable distrust.
8 Spades- (U) something seemingly fantastic is offered, but is an illusion, (R) disillusionment and disappointment, but for the better.
20-Garden- relates to community, socialization and gatherings of either people or things. Like bouquet, it may indicate a multitude of whatever is indicated by the cards near it. May also refer to a brief holiday or recreation, especially with friends.
8 Spades- signifies meat animals. Generally indicates a plagued mind, clinical depression, anxiety or, more rarely, the actual presence of a plot or conspiracy against someone.
8 swords (U) May indicate an illness or a trial of initiation. A barrage of problems with limited options, or none at all, may be experienced. In a broad sense, liberation through incarceration. Things coming to a head as choices manifest their consequences and only through enduring can one break free. In general, submission. (R) Overwhelm, fatalism, or struggle bring on a state of panic or desperation. Stillness and resolve are required, but not presented. May indicate an abusive relationship, especially where sexual or emotional slavery are involved. In general, masochism and self-imposed punishment.
9 Spades- (U) bad luck in general. Any plans or ventures will either fail or bring bad results later on. (R) Postponement and impediments may work out in your favor if you accept them with grace.
35-Anchor- relates to stability, solidarity and the weathering of storms. May indicate a touchstone or “that which anchors us” be it a person, such as a spouse or friend, our faith or vocation. In relation to people, it may indicate strength of resolve as much as dullness, denseness, and the refusal to accept new ideas. In relation to places it may be a port, island, or coastal location.
9 Spades- a sudden tragedy or long-term hardship.
9 swords (U) May indicate sleeplessness, nightmares or any of a number of anxiety disorders. Stark realizations and sudden understanding of sins. A guilty conscience. The “eleventh hour” or dark night of the soul. In general, Repentance. (R) Same as above, but without resolution, remorse or the much needed repentance. May indicate imprisonment, death or other inevitable judgment and loss.
10 Spades- (U) a large and sudden loss or a judgment against you. (R) Sacrifice is necessary to long-term success.
03-Ship- indicates travel, influences from far away or long ago or fascination with the foreign and exotic.
10 Spades- karmic repercussions, the climax of a difficult period and the end of a cycle which comes with great cost or sacrifice. Highly inauspicious for journeys. Trouble from afar.
10 swords (U) Finality, absolution, carte blanche. Who or whatsoever has plagued one is met with judgment and final ending. (R) Living hell. Repetition of cycles. Failure to learn from or accept responsibility for one's transgressions. Judgment is executed and visited upon one.


Jokers- the intercession of fate or presentation of a karmic vehicle. Synchronicity, strokes of luck or an unlikely messenger. Red or “big” joker if favorable, black or “little” joker if not.
Fool- Numbered 0 in the major arcana, is a moveable card which signifies the soul and its journey through the spheres of the sephira. (U) Childlike wonder, purity and candor. Divine protection, profound honesty, “the world at one's feet” (R) apathy, ignorance, folly, pitfalls, excommunication. May indicate mania or some form of uncontrollable mental incompetence.
